The revised version of Assembly Bill No. 411 clarifies that the State Board of Agriculture must create regulations that allow the sale of motor vehicle fuel containing up to 15 percent ethanol. This change aims to ensure that fuel specifications are based on scientific evidence and are sufficient for safe vehicle performance, while also addressing air quality standards set by various agencies. This matters because it supports the use of biofuels like ethanol, which can be more environmentally friendly, promoting both better air quality and sustainable fuel options for vehicles.
