Plain-language change summary

The revised Assembly Bill No. 70 introduces a new exception for the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services regarding the deposit of child support payments. Previously, all state agencies were required to deposit public funds, such as child support payments, within one working day if they accumulated $10,000 or more. Now, if the Division cannot identify the recipient of these payments within that timeframe, they must return the funds to the payor instead of holding onto them longer. This change aims to streamline the process for managing child support payments, ensuring that funds are handled efficiently and transparently.
