Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Senate Bill 424 establishes a new Public Health Resource Office within the Office of the Governor, appointing a Public Health Resource Officer to oversee it. This office is tasked with enhancing public health services and addressing health needs across the state. Additionally, it mandates that the existing Office of Minority Health and Equity provides advice to the new office on how to tackle unequal health outcomes in certain communities. These changes are significant because they aim to streamline public health efforts and ensure that all communities have access to better health resources and support.
