Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Assembly Bill 55 changes the language regarding the role responsible for maintaining the city's official documents. The term "be the custodian of all official papers and records" was updated to simply "keep the corporate seal and all official papers and records." This adjustment clarifies the responsibilities of the office involved, ensuring that it is clear they are in charge of safeguarding important city documents. This matters because having precise language helps prevent misunderstandings about duties within the local government.
