Plain-language change summary

The main change in Senate Bill 102 is that it updates the age cut-off date for children entering kindergarten and other grades from September 30 to the first day of the school year. This means that children who turn the required age right before school starts can now enroll at the beginning of the school year instead of having to wait until the following year. This change is significant because it allows more flexibility for families and could help ensure that children are able to start school with their peers without a delay.
