Existing law creates the Division of Museums and History of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.
Existing law creates the Division of Museums and History of the Department of Administrator and a state system of museums and historical societies comprised of the Nevada State Museum, the Lost City Museum, the Nevada State Museum Las Vegas, the Nevada Historical Society, the East Ely Depot Museum, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City.
The Division consists of the Office of the Administrator and a state system of museums and historical societies comprised of Vegas, the Nevada Historical Society, the East Ely Depot Museum, the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City.

The Division of Museums and History of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs shall, subject to the availability of funding, complete a study concerning the feasibility of establishing the Nevada State Holocaust Museum as an ins2.
The Division may apply for any available grants and accept any gifts, grants or donations to pay the costs of the study.

On or before January 1, 2021, the Division shall submit a report of the results of the study and any recommendations for legislation to the Director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau for transmittal to the 81st Session of the Nevada Legislature.
Sec.
3.

This section and section 2 of this act become effective on July 1, 2019.
