Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Senate Bill No. 31 removes two key requirements for appointing employees with disabilities to positions in the classified service: the need for approval from the appointing authority and the requirement that the employee has completed a probationary period. This change aims to streamline the hiring process for these employees, making it easier for them to secure jobs without facing unnecessary barriers. This matters because it enhances employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, promoting inclusivity in the workforce.
