The recent changes to HB 955 mean that instead of simply amending Section 49-7-49 of the Mississippi Code, the bill now brings this section forward for possible amendments. This means the law remains in use as-is for now, rather than making changes in the language or stipulations regarding hunting, trapping, and fishing evidence. This matters because it allows for further consideration of the law without immediately altering its current provisions, ensuring more thorough review and discussion before any decisions are made.
