Plain-language change summary

In the updated version of Bill SB 2785, a key change is the addition of a specific 30-day timeframe for the Commissioner to issue a determination after an appeal is filed. Additionally, during this period, the time allowed for the taxpayer to appeal to the Chancery Court is paused. This matters because it ensures that taxpayers are not unfairly pressured while awaiting the Commissioner's decision, thereby providing them with more clarity and time to prepare their cases.
