What changed in the latest version

The recent changes to Bill HB 1694 reflect a reduction in funding for the Office of the Attorney General, lowering the total amount from approximately $23.3 million to $22.2 million and adjusting personnel numbers slightly. Additionally, the responsibility for managing salary increases has shifted more clearly to the State Personnel Board, which will now need to approve any special situations where salary reallocation is considered. These changes are significant as they tighten budgetary constraints and require more oversight on salary adjustments, aiming to ensure fiscal responsibility within state agencies.
