Plain-language change summary

The proposed amendment to HB 1784 reduces the funding from $250 million to $181.775 million for the Unemployment Compensation Fund. Additionally, it removes a provision that would have directed the State Fiscal Officer to transfer unspent funds from another bill into the Unemployment Compensation Fund by a specific deadline. This change is significant because it lowers the amount of financial support available for unemployment benefits, which could impact individuals relying on these funds during challenging times.
