The revised version of SB 2117 simplifies the process for military members and their families to obtain occupational licenses in Mississippi. It removes specific time limits for issuing licenses and the requirement for temporary practice permits for military-trained applicants. This change is important because it streamlines the licensing process, making it quicker and easier for military families to transition into civilian jobs, ensuring they can start working sooner without unnecessary delays.
