TO PROVIDE THATTHAT, UNLESSUPON ANCERTAIN EARLIERCONDITIONS, DATETHE FORHOUSE SINEAND DIESENATE ADJOURNMENTSHALL ISRECONVENE SETAT BYNOON CONCURRENTON RESOLUTION,MONDAY, THEOCTOBER 20205, REGULAR2020, SESSIONUNLESS THE SPEAKER OF THE LEGISLATUREHOUSE SHALLAND STANDTHE ADJOURNEDLIEUTENANT SINEGOVERNOR DIEJOINTLY ATDETERMINE MIDNIGHTTHAT ONIT DECEMBERIS 31,NOT 2020;NECESSARY TO RECONVENE;

TO PROVIDE THATTHAT, IFUPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE SPEAKER AND THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR MAY JOINTLY DETERMINE THAT IT IS NECESSARY FOR THE HOUSE AND SENATE TO RECONVENE ATBEFORE ANYOCTOBER TIME5, DURING2020, ANYAND OF THE EXTENSIONS OF THE SESSION AUTHORIZED BY THIS RESOLUTION, THE HOUSE AND SENATE SHALL RECONVENE ON THE DATE AND TIME JOINTLY DECLARED BY THE SPEAKER AND THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR;

TO PROVIDE THAT THE HOUSE AND SENATE SHALL NOT CONVENE FOR MORE THAN A TOTAL OF SIX DAYS DURING THE SUCCESSIVE PERIODS OF EXTENSIONS AUTHORIZED BY THIS RESOLUTION;

TO PROVIDE THAT THE 2020 REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE SHALL STAND ADJOURNED SINE DIE AT MIDNIGHT ON OCTOBER 10, 2020, UNLESS AN EARLIER DATE IS NECESSARY TO COMPLY WITH THE SIX-DAY LIMITATION OR UNLESS AN EARLIER DATE IS SET BY CONCURRENT RESOLUTION;

TO SUSPEND THE DEADLINES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE DRAFTING, INTRODUCTION, CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF ANY BILL, AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PERMITTING THE FURTHER CONSIDERATION AND PASSAGE OF ANY BILL, WHICH IS RELATED TO ANY ACTION, ACTIVITY, AUTHORIZATION OR EXPENDITURE TO ADDRESS OR OTHERWISE DUE TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY WITH RESPECT TO COVID-19, AND WHICH IS AUTHORIZED TO BE DRAFTED, INTRODUCED OR CONSIDERED FURTHER BY EITHER THE HOUSE RULES COMMITTEE OR THE SENATE RULES COMMITTEE;

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That if the HouseUnited andStates SenateCongress haveappropriates notmoney adjournedin sineaddition dieto onthe oramount beforeof Friday,funds Novemberappropriated 6,on March 27, 2020, by the 2020Coronavirus RegularAid, SessionRelief, ofand Economic Security Act (CARES Act), or if the Legislatureregulations isor extendedguidance forgoverning anotherthe perioduse of thirtysuch (30)funds days,are fromrevised Saturday,or Novemberupdated 7,after 2020,the untilpassage Sunday,of Decemberthis 6,resolution, then the House and Senate shall reconvene at Noon on Monday, October 5, 2020, underto address such events unless the provisionsSpeaker of Sectionthe 36,House Mississippiand Constitutionthe ofLieutenant 1890.Governor jointly determine that it is not necessary to reconvene, in which case the House and Senate shall not reconvene on that date.
