Plain-language change summary

The amendments made to SB 2482 clarify the criteria for denying or revoking a license based on certain criminal convictions, particularly those related to sex offenses. Specifically, individuals on probation or post-release supervision for these offenses will now face immediate denial of their licensure applications and may also have their current licenses revoked. This change aims to strengthen the requirements for licensure by emphasizing public safety and ensuring that those with serious offenses meet stricter criteria before being allowed to obtain or retain a license.
