Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 337 changed the standard of proof required for injured parties in real property cases. Instead of needing to show "clear and convincing evidence," they now only need to prove their case by a "preponderance of the evidence," which is a lower standard. This change matters because it makes it easier for individuals pursuing claims related to commercial or other real property to win their cases, potentially leading to more successful outcomes for those affected.
