Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of Bill HB 397, the wording was changed to clarify that a law enforcement agency must use its authority for law enforcement purposes when seizing property. Previously, the bill allowed agencies to use their discretion for seizing property, which could have led to inconsistent practices. This change is important as it aims to ensure that all seizures are conducted with a clear purpose, enhancing accountability and fairness in law enforcement actions.
