Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to SB 2601 allow holders of a distillery retailer's permit not only to sell alcoholic beverages without having to purchase them from a government warehouse, but also to sell promotional items like shirts and hats at the same location. Additionally, the bill clarifies that individuals involved in distilling or manufacturing alcohol can financially benefit from holding a distillery retailer's permit, which wasn't explicitly stated before. These changes are significant because they provide greater flexibility for distilleries to operate and market their products, potentially boosting local businesses and the economy.
