Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 2295 now includes new dates and clarifications around the authority of the commission that oversees public utilities. Specifically, it changes the repeal date from June 30, 2020, to June 30, 2022, which essentially extends the timeframe for certain regulations to remain in effect. This matters because it gives the commission more time to enforce its rules and ensure compliance with the law, potentially leading to better governance of public utilities during this period.
