Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 2473 extend the time for eviction hearings from 30 days to 60 days, allowing for a longer period for tenants and landlords to resolve their disputes. Additionally, the bill has updated the notice period required when a rental agreement is breached, reducing it from 30 days to 14 days. This is significant because it alters the timeline for both parties involved, potentially giving tenants less time to address issues while also increasing the urgency for landlords. Overall, these changes aim to streamline the eviction process in Mississippi.
