Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill HB 780 adds important provisions regarding powers of attorney for agents of surety insurers. Specifically, it clarifies that these documents can be recorded in the circuit court clerk's office and only need to be filed once while active. This change simplifies the process for agents in handling bonds and ensures they maintain the authority to act on behalf of insurers until the power of attorney is revoked. This matters because it reduces administrative burdens on agents and enhances clarity in bond transactions.
