Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 4645 now specifies that the Authority and the State Fire Marshal will work together to offer zero-interest loans specifically for constructing or improving fire stations. This change includes the establishment of a Fire Station Revolving Loan Fund, which will manage the funds and repayments and ensure that all loan money is used exclusively for fire station projects. This matters because it helps secure funding for vital equipment and upgrades while easing financial burdens on fire departments by providing interest-free loans, ultimately enhancing public safety and emergency response capabilities.
