Plain-language change summary

In the latest version of SB 1487, the focus has shifted from requiring insurance companies to provide disclosures about identity theft insurance to the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation creating a consumer fact sheet. This fact sheet will offer essential information about what identity theft insurance covers and tips for protecting oneself from identity theft. This change matters because it aims to make information more accessible to consumers, likely making it easier for them to understand their options and take preventive measures against identity theft.
