Plain-language change summary

The latest version of HB 5141 removes specific provisions that allowed employees under the age of 18 to be paid at a lower minimum wage. This change is important because it aims to ensure that all workers, regardless of age, receive the same minimum pay rate. By eliminating these age-related wage allowances, the bill seeks to promote fair compensation for younger workers starting their careers.
