The latest version of SB 1998 has been updated to emphasize its purpose as the "Homeowner Protection Act," which aims to prevent foreclosures and protect borrowers. It now includes clearly defined terms such as "approved counseling agency" and "delinquent," making it easier for homeowners to understand their rights and options. This is important because it strengthens support for individuals struggling with home loans, helping them avoid losing their homes. Overall, these changes enhance the focus on borrower protection and clarify the assistance available to them.
