Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to SB 15 include the addition of a specific mention of practice nurses who have collaborative agreements with physicians and physician assistants who have delegated authority to provide care. This clarifies the types of healthcare professionals who are recognized in providing perinatal care and may help ensure that more individuals can access necessary support. It’s important because it broadens the scope of who can address mental health issues during and after pregnancy, potentially leading to better care for mothers and infants.
