Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 2500 introduces a new requirement for superintendents starting after July 1, 2008, mandating their participation in a mentoring program for their first two years. This change is important because it aims to provide new superintendents with the support and training they need to succeed, ultimately benefiting the schools and communities they serve. Additionally, the amendments include protections for mentors against legal action, ensuring that those guiding new leaders can do so without fear of being sued.
