Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 1384 now requires state agencies to form internal committees dedicated to assessing their environmental impact and finding ways to reduce pollution and conserve resources. This change emphasizes collaboration among different departments within each agency. Additionally, the section about construction contracts was removed, indicating a shift in focus away from design criteria for new state facilities. These amendments matter because they encourage a more proactive approach to environmental responsibility across state agencies while streamlining the bill by eliminating redundant construction requirements.
