Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 1566 have changed the name of the advisory committee from the "Genetic and Metabolic Diseases Advisory Committee" to the "Metabolic Diseases Advisory Committee." Additionally, the updated bill removes specific rules about member terms and obligations to serve on subcommittees. These changes are significant because they simplify the committee's name and structure, potentially allowing for a more streamlined operation while ensuring that important perspectives, like those of patients and parents, remain involved.
