Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to HB 4757 includes specific details about the appointment and operation of grants review committees, such as the requirement for the Secretary to fill committee vacancies within 90 days and to make appointments no later than 90 days after the law takes effect. Additionally, the revised bill clarifies that the criteria for evaluating grant applications will be public records, ensuring transparency in the funding process. This matters because it enhances accountability and allows the public to understand how funding decisions are made, ultimately promoting trust in the grant allocation process.
