The amendment to Bill HB 663 changes the rules regarding the revocation of driving privileges for individuals convicted of certain serious offenses. Previously, the Secretary of State could wait up to six months to revoke a driver’s license after a conviction or accident that resulted in death. Now, the Secretary of State is required to immediately revoke the driver’s license in these situations. This change aims to enhance road safety by removing dangerous drivers more quickly from the roads.
