Plain-language change summary

The revised bill, HB 362, now specifies that 99% of the fines collected from those who provide false information on vehicle titles will go to the Illinois Military Family Relief Fund, while 1% will help cover administrative costs for the Circuit Court Clerk. This change emphasizes support for military families by directing almost all of the fines to them, making the penalties more effective in supporting a specific cause related to military service. By allocating these funds in this way, the bill highlights the importance of aiding those who have served in the military, ensuring they have additional resources available to them.
