Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Bill SB 337 redefine what constitutes a "disabled person" by expanding the criteria to include not only those with mental or physical impairments but also individuals whose behaviors related to gambling, substance abuse, or other factors lead to financial instability. Additionally, the definition of "developmental disability" has been removed from the bill. This change is significant because it broadens the understanding of disability, ensuring that more individuals who may struggle with managing their personal and financial situations receive the necessary support and protections under the law.
