Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 472 extends the deadline for completing a redevelopment project in the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district of West Chicago from 23 years to 35 years after the ordinance was initially adopted. This change is important because it gives the city more time to finish the project, potentially allowing for better planning, securing funding, and addressing community needs as the project develops. Extending the timeline may also improve the project's overall impact on the local economy and community.
