Plain-language change summary

The revised bill HB 2002 now includes provisions for establishing group homes specifically for adolescents aged 15 to 18 diagnosed with autism, whereas the previous version focused on Community-Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs) that required a single provider to manage multiple homes. This change allows for more specialized care tailored to the needs of these adolescents by ensuring that the staff have significant experience and training in autism support. Additionally, the new structure enhances the quality of services provided in these homes, which is crucial for the well-being and development of the adolescents involved.
