Plain-language change summary

The updated bill SB 641 now explicitly encourages parents to have their children undergo eye vision examinations alongside required health examinations, rather than just at the entry to kindergarten or first grade. Additionally, it establishes a notification requirement for schools to inform parents about the dental examination mandate at least 60 days before the due date. These changes aim to ensure that parents are better informed and that children receive necessary health checks more consistently, fostering better overall health for students.
