The recent changes to Bill SB 345 replaced the word “may” with “shall” in several places, making it mandatory for specific questions to be included rather than optional. This shift emphasizes the importance of those questions, ensuring they are posed as required. Such a change matters because it strengthens compliance and may enhance the effectiveness of the bill by making certain information or actions unavoidable.
