The amendments to Bill SB 88 broaden the definition of "public services" to include wireless services and clarify the types of services regulated by the Illinois Commerce Commission. Additionally, the wording has been adjusted for clarity about the illegal interception of utility services. These changes matter because they ensure that a wider range of services is protected from theft and unauthorized diversion, helping to maintain the integrity of essential public services.
