Plain-language change summary

The bill SB 34 has been updated to enhance regulations on automatic telephone dialers. Key changes include the requirement for autodialers to immediately disconnect after a call is terminated, and if that’s not possible, to connect the caller to a live operator. Additionally, the autodialer must clearly state the company's information in its message and allow the recipient to reach a live person at any time during the call. These changes are important as they aim to improve consumer protections against intrusive and unwanted calls.
