Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 2322 removes provisions that allowed the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages at specific events on University of Illinois campuses, such as Chicago Bears games and professional soccer matches. Instead, the bill now states that the university's Board of Trustees can permit alcohol sales in university-controlled buildings for designated public events, as long as they are not related to student activities. This change is important because it shifts control over alcohol sales to the university, allowing for clearer guidelines on where and when alcohol can be served on campus.
