Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 2403 updates how Medicaid rates are calculated for certain intermediate care facilities. Specifically, facilities will now compute their support and real estate tax components every two years, using recent cost reports instead of the previous annual calculations. This change matters because it aims to ensure that funding aligns more closely with actual costs, providing better support for facilities that care for individuals with mental and physical disabilities.
