Plain-language change summary

The revised version of HB 4634 adds a section that expands medical assistance eligibility under the Illinois Public Aid Code. Specifically, it allows individuals who do not qualify for basic maintenance grants due to income needs but still lack sufficient resources for necessary medical care to receive assistance. This change is important because it aims to ensure that more people, particularly those struggling financially, can access essential healthcare services, including treatments for illnesses like prostate and testicular cancer.
