Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 552 added a provision allowing lienholders to reclaim impounded vehicles after paying administrative fees, while also removing some previous text related to the procedures for releasing impounded vehicles. This change is significant because it provides a clearer process for lienholders, which may help them retrieve vehicles more efficiently and ensure that municipalities can recoup costs associated with towing and storage. Overall, these adjustments aim to streamline the vehicle release process and clarify rights for both vehicle owners and lienholders.
