The recent amendments to Bill SB 2830 add a section that requires long-term care facilities to complete and submit a Consumer Choice Information Report to a state office. This change is important as it aims to enhance transparency about the services provided by these facilities, making it easier for consumers and their families to make informed choices regarding care options. Additionally, the bill simplifies some older provisions, streamlining the oversight process and potentially improving accountability in the long-term care industry.
