Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 547 introduces the Health Data Task Force and outlines its purpose more clearly. Key changes include a focus on making public health data accessible to help identify and address health disparities, particularly those affecting racial and ethnic groups. The revised text emphasizes that this initiative is about supporting public health planning at various levels, rather than replacing existing research agreements. This matters because it aims to enhance the state's ability to use health data effectively to improve community health outcomes.
