Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 5595 now clearly defines "habilitative services" to include specific therapies such as occupational, physical, and speech therapy for children under 19 who have congenital, genetic, or early acquired disorders. It emphasizes the importance of these services in helping children develop essential skills after experiencing illnesses or traumas early in life. This change is significant because it ensures that health insurance policies must cover these necessary therapies, promoting better health outcomes for affected children and supporting their development.
