Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 2512 has removed two topics from the Internet safety education curriculum: instruction on reporting illegal activities and communications online, and understanding copyright laws related to digital content. Instead, the focus is streamlined to cover safe Internet practices, recognizing online dangers, and dealing with cyber-bullying. This change is significant because it narrows the educational scope, allowing schools to emphasize essential Internet safety skills tailored to young students while still aiming to protect them from online risks.
