The recent changes to Bill SB 2210 primarily involve the removal of specific statutory deadlines for applying for owner licenses under the Riverboat Gambling Act. Instead, the bill now allows the Illinois Gaming Board to set its own deadlines, which provides more flexibility in managing applications. Additionally, the bill clarifies the handling of winnings for those under 21 years old, ensuring that such funds are confiscated and directed to the Education Assistance Fund. These updates are significant as they aim to streamline the licensing process and strengthen financial provisions related to gambling activities.
