What changed in the latest version
7 added · 21 removedPlain-language change summary
The changes in Bill HB 150 involve removing some outdated language and refining the wording of the Environmental Protection Act, particularly regarding fees related to environmental permits. Specifically, the annual fee for certain coal mining operations has been lowered from $5,000 to $1,000. This amendment is significant because it may encourage more mining operations to comply with environmental regulations by reducing their financial burden. Additionally, simplifying the language helps ensure that the bill is clearer and more accessible to the public and stakeholders.
