The updated bill now includes a requirement for the Department of Health to develop better Medicaid payment schedules for rural and super-rural ambulance services. This change is significant because it aims to ensure that emergency medical services in less populated areas are fairly compensated and can continue to operate effectively, ultimately improving access to critical care for residents in those regions.
