Plain-language change summary

The new version of Bill SB 6034 has been updated to broaden the scope of its focus on Indian tribes and organizations. It no longer limits its training and collaboration efforts to "federally recognized Indian tribes" but now includes all Indian tribes, tribal organizations, and urban Indian organizations. This change is significant because it aims to build stronger relationships and enhance communication with a wider range of Indigenous groups in Washington, fostering inclusivity and ensuring that diverse tribal perspectives are incorporated into state governance.
